Pink Blood: Homophobic Violence in Canada by Douglas Victor Janoff is the first Canadian book on the topic. It was published by the University of Toronto Press in 2005. In 2007, Pink Blood: La violence homophobe au Canada was published in French by Éditions Triptyque in Montreal. For more details, visit the French-language website of Pink Blood.

Douglas Janoff spent nine years researching 120 queer-related homicides and more than 350 assaults that occurred in Canada between 1990 and 2004.
