In 2007, Vancouver artist Alan Krause created a beautiful but disturbing painting, inspired by the book Pink Blood. The painting's title is "All is not well because we wish it so." The acrylic painting, 36 inches by 24 inches, features the names of murder victims who appear in the book.

In the fall of 2007, the author visited several universities in Quebec and Ontario to promote the French-language translation of Pink Blood.
In May 2008, he attended several events in Europe, including the Geneva Book Fair, a book launch at a gay and lesbian bookstore in Lyon, and discussions at gay and lesbian community centres in Brussels, Lille, Tours and Paris.
In February 2009, the author visited Kingston and Montego Bay, Jamaica. He discussed homophobic violence in Canada and exchanged information with representatives from two organizations that work with the gay, lesbian and transgender communities.
